I wasn’t sure what to expect from this because it’s not a typical lip product. When I first squeezed it out, the texture felt a little strange and I honestly wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. I also didn’t know how thick to apply it, but I decided to go a little heavier, and that ended up being the right move.
Right after applying, it felt cooling — not in a minty way like I expected, but more of a soft, fruity cooling sensation. No harsh tingling, no burning. I’m 52 with post-menopausal mature skin, and my lips get dry fast, so I’m always cautious with anything that might irritate. This didn’t irritate at all.
After about 10 minutes (just like the directions say), I started peeling it off, and I was actually surprised at how nice my lips looked afterward. The product feels amazing on the lips and smells great. It has a bit of a minty taste in my mouth when I breathe in while wearing it. You’re supposed to leave it on for ten minutes, and it looks nice while on (an understated sheen). I’ve used it a couple times, and it doesn’t seem to always have a satisfying peel-off at the end, especially if you’re in a humid environment. Either way, it is exactly what it says- idk how, but it preps my lips for product SO well.

I pretty much go crazy for anything that is a lip mask, so of course I had to try this one. The first thing I noticed when I got it is that the instructions say "peel off," which is kind of unique for a lip mask. This is designed as a pre-makeup mask, not an overnight mask.
The texture is interesting. It isn't as thick or gel-like as a peel-off face mask, and spreading it gives it a bit of a (dare I say) chunky? texture. Don't let that dissuade you, though, it isn't an unpleasant sensory experience, just unexpected for the first time. It dries a bit over about 15 minutes; I'd call it less of a peel-off and more of a roll-off, because I don't get that satisfying peel strip like I do with peel-off face masks.
It does leave my lips more hydrated and ready for gloss or just ready for the day. It has a bit of an odd minty-floral scent that definitely translates to a floral-ish flavor if you accidentally lick or get some inside your mouth. Despite that, it isn't strong. Note about the tube: the tip twists to lock and unlock, so if none will squeeze out, try twisting it!
I actually love the experience and will order more when I run out.
